My Story - HAPPY DAY OF THANKSGIVING!

In positive psychology research, gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions , relish good experiences , improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships.

Post Covid and in our world filled with daily challenges, sometimes it's hard to remember reasons to be grateful

I am Thankful From 1 Thessalonians 5:"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." Give thanks. Hmmmm. What does that mean?

I AM THANKFUL FOR the teenager who is not doing dishes but is watching T.V., because that means she is at home and not on the streets.

I AM THANKFUL FOR the taxes I pay, because it means I am employed.

I AM THANKFUL FOR the mess to clean after a party, because it means I have been surrounded by friends.

I AM THANKFUL FOR the clothes that fit a little too snug, because it means I have enough to eat.

Marie's Thoughts on Gratitude and Thanksgiving.
I AM THANKFUL FOR the raw emotions felt when leaving my homeland and all possessions behind, because it means new beginning and the foundation of new roots in a new country.

I AM THANKFUL FOR the years spent at the Ketcham House, the toil of shoveling snow and maintaining the property, because it means I have enjoyed the amazing opportunity to be caretaker of an amazing relic of American history.

I AM THANKFUL FOR the fatigue I sometimes feel after working on neighborhood projects, because I get the remarkable opportunity to learn about my community AND get to meet my neighbors.

I AM THANKFUL FOR that good humour remains even after memory loss, because laughter brings such great joy to life and living.
